Fernandez got his name from his father, who is originally from Santiago, Spain, although he himself is, like his mother, a born and raised American. He is the youngest of four children, all of whom still reside in Julio's hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. Julio frequently splits his time between major acting markets such as New York, Atlanta, LA, and Baltimore.

His passion for acting began in theatre at a very young age and he continued to work in theatre until his late adolescent years when he began to also train and work in the film industry. He has learned from amazing industry professionals including Kimberly Skyrme, Nancy Scanlon, Christhian Andrews, Katie Killacky, Mark McKinnon, and Larry Moss. Julio takes the art of acting very seriously and is always continuing to learn. As well as acting, Fernandez has also produced films along with writing and directing.

Julio has most recently been featured in television roles on House of Cards (Netflix) and Nightmare Next Door (Investigation Discovery). He has also appeared in many recent feature films including Love Different, Wrestlemassacre, and Killer Campout. There are many film projects that Julio worked on that will be debuting soon including Move Me No Mountain, If My People, and Shriekshow. One of Julio’s proudest accomplishments is participating in the live production, Addicted, the show about three troubled young adults struggling with addiction and fighting to survive. It is a very emotionally gripping show that gives audience members a phenomenal performance and lessons that will never be forgotten.

Outside of the entertainment industry, Fernandez is a jack of all trades. He works as a massage therapist, helps manage and run a landscaping company with his father, played semi-professional Ice Hockey, and trains in multiple styles of Martial Arts including Muay Thai, American Kick Boxing, MMA, and Jiu Jitsu.
